You can try color enhancing shampoos and/or rinses. Since you have your hair done at a salon, ask if they are using a temporary color or a permanent one. Permanent hair colors last longer. In between colorings, use the color enhancing shampoo or rinses. You might also try a temp color( one that washes out in 12 to 24 shampoos).
Using hot-hot water on your hair is a no-no in general. Try not to wash everyday. When you do, use warm water and cool rinse. When you color your hair, you hair is actually considered damaged. When you rinse, use a super-moisturizing conditioner or leave in treatment. Avoid alcohol based styling products as they dry out your hair. Try not to kill it with heat like blow-drying everyday and the use of heated stylers like curling irons and flat irons.
All of these tips should help. If any doubts, ask your haircare professional. How can I make my hair color last longer between colorings?
Great! Glad I could help...you have just reminded me that I need to have my roots done....lol

Use those color-shampoos in between, also protect your hair from long sun exposure, don't wash your hair too hot. do not overdo with flattening, curling and and alcohol based styling products such as hair spray, or gel. if all that doesn't do it for you you should consider getting your hair done at a salon. they have higher concentrated colors that are not as damaging to your hair.
use color enhancing shampoo. It should revive it for longer periods.
