I have relatively dark hair and I would like to have a more caramel color, like Jessica Alba or Eva Mendes. I don't know what to ask for when I go to the hair salon. I've already done a color consulation, but I could tell they didn't know what I was talking about. I'm not sure if I should get a full color or some kind of full highlights. Thanks! How can I make a drastic hair color change?
i have dark brown hair too. i went to the parlor and looked at their color chart and chose a hazel brown. then my stylist suggested to use two colors to highlight my hair. so i used dark red (close to maroon) and brown to match my eye colors. it looks amazing and very different. i got them the lower parts the top of my head has more brown compared to the the lower parts. the brown and red should be kind of in the same class of color or it will look like a mishap.
try to chose colors that match your eyes. it works out better if you have dark hair. How can I make a drastic hair color change?
i would suggest that you get a foils through out the hair...you would ask for a color to give you the caramel color...the stylist then should use small sections through out the hair(small weaves) and apply color...using your natural color as the base...it will give you that drastic look with out coloring or highlighting your wholehead of hair...the color would eventually fade off but if you highlite you would have to grow that out since you got rid of all the pigmentation....redken has a 10av that will give you the caramel look...good luck and plz use a professional to do your hair....less problems....
Take a picture with you, seriously. And check for salons that have color specialists, you might pay a lil' more, but you'll be much happier with the results! Good luck.
highlights
I heard if you put alot of lemon juice in your hair it could lighten your color.
get caramel highlights throughout your entire head of hair. that way you have depth to the color by creating several shades throughout
