Hair coloring advice ?

i've got dark blond hair and i want to go a really bright mahogany. will i have to bleach it first to get it a really vivid colorHair coloring advice ?
Depends on how dark a blond you are... I seen where by getting an extreme blond permanent color... they lift 2 levels of pigment from the hair which is enough if you are already blond... then do the vivid mahogany which also can be a permanent hair color... which you can get from walmart.
