Redken hair color advice?

Hi! My colorist is moving and I want to do my color myself now. She uses the Redken line and I really love it. My hair is a dark brown with a hint of red but only in the light. I'm confused because I guess there are different color types or sets or whatever within Redken. Which should I use? and what colors? Also, my hair is naturally blonde. like a 7 or 8, and its really hard to get my roots to hold color :( any help would be greatly appreciated!!Redken hair color advice?
You are not going to be able to buy Redken color. It is only available to licensed hairdressers. Your best bet is to ask your stylist for recommendations to another stylist. You may be able to get her to write down the formulas she uses on you since she is moving but color formulas are proprietary so some stylists are reluctant to share that information. When my clients ask for it, I always give them their formulas so the only way to know is to ask for it.

As far as doing your color at home, you are not going to be able to replicate what your stylist has done, especially if she has had to create a special formula for you to get the new growth to take as well as the midshaft and ends and the color you buy in the store is no where near as good. Another point to consider is that fixing a mistake takes a lot longer, costs a lot more and is never as good as right the first time. Your best bet is to ask your stylist to recommend someone else in the salon or go to www.redken.com and use the salon finder to find another salon in your area that used Redken Color.

Good luck :-)Redken hair color advice?
well if u are going to do ur color urself then u need to stick with professional products, which are hard to get a hold of unless u are a stylist urself.. maybe get the formula she uses and find another colorists. store colors are horrible for hair. she may use a red brown which has a little more red than usual. or a copper brown which is more of a rich brown almost like a red tint. with the roots u are going to have to use a certain level of peroxide which is mixed professionally. its probably the color gels line if its just a solid brown.
