Get a honey color. This is a golden color, and shines nicely with dark brown. It will be subtle, but noticeable and very pretty. Blonde on dark brown looks too out there and you lose that beautiful look. So this is my suggestion if you want it to be noticeable, but not tacky.
you can try getting orange, red, or caramel higlights....they would look good or dark brown hair
I have dark brown hair with some golden highlights. I really like it that way, and I get lots of compliments, too.
Oh a bronze kind of red would look great!
