Are there any quick ways to lighten up my hair color?

I'm looking for a way to lighten the color of my hair a little bit for summer! I don't want to highlight it right now, so what are some other ways I could accomplish this?!

1. you could put lemon juice in your hair after its damp and sit in the sun for awhile
