Depends the style of the girl.

Preppy - Strawberry blonde

Emo-ish - A darker more pop out red.
It depends on the color of your skin (the tone) that is. If your tone is cool then the red would look nice and if your tone is warm, you could wear a cool ash blonde.

Its actually whatever looks best with your skins color/complexion. Ask a colorist what whould work best for you ! Not what other people think. Looking Natural is key.

Disagree with the no shade of red, I think it can look very beautiful. I like the darker red, where it doesn't look completely ginger. It doesn't matter what other people think, you should go by the color of your skin tone as a dark shade of red is hard to carry off. A light strawberry blonde would probably look best depending again on your skin tone and the color of your hair now.
I think the darker your skin tone the darker the red so it doesn't look too weird and the lighter you are the lighter you can take the red. I personally think ash red is cute and girly and straight red is exotic:)

I think you have slightly darker skin, or use bronzer, you could probably get away with something like this

i am not dark skinned but I have a medium-dark reddish hair color and everyone says it suits me.
