How much does your hairstylist help with choosing a hair color?

I've always done my own color (from a box), but now I have a great girl that cuts my hair and I want to go to her for color too.





Since I have never had it professionally colored.... does she expect me to come in with an idea or will she walk me through it and help me pick something out and then be able to whip it up right there? Thanks!How much does your hairstylist help with choosing a hair color?
Most places (not all) will have like a ';sit-down'; with you and ask you what colors you want it.....they will pull out a whole book of color swatches ';the colored little pieces of hair'; and let you pick from them what colors you like and where you want them on the head....and then she will suggest some!

most places think you have a general idea of what color. but if you tell them you dont they will walk you through it with swatches and help you. they can suggest stuff to. alot of the time they suggest highlights which help alot
They Have Like a Book With Little Hair Color ';swatches'; and you can pick from there or ask Her What Would Look the Best On You.
