How can I get my hair color to turn out brunette and not red?

I am naturally a dark (dirty) blonde. I've been dying my hair for over 3 or 4 years now all different shades of brunette. I used to dye my hair in a salon and now I dye my hair with ';box color';. I use all different brands and shades and I'm never satisfied with any color because it's too red. What can I do to make my hair dye brunette and not red?How can I get my hair color to turn out brunette and not red?

but the thing is, is that most brunettes carry a red tint in them, so in order to keep the red out, you need to fin a dark chocolate color to prevent the red tint in the color .How can I get my hair color to turn out brunette and not red?
Red hair fades REALLY fast even if it's dark... or light keep your natural shade it is the healthiest and prettiest! xD
