How can I make my hair color more noticeable?

I have black hair and i want to dye my hair a vibrant color (pink, purple, etc). The last time I tried, i bleached my hair first, but it turned orange! I ignored it and put the color on anyway but the orange overpowered it so i had orange hair! Another time i tried this method, the color came out within a day and left the orange! How do i prevent my hair from turning orange/ running out and make it more noticeable?How can I make my hair color more noticeable?
Your hair turned orange because hair lightens in stages, from black to brown to reds to oranges to yellows to pale yellows then finally to white. Your hair didn't necessarily ';turn orange';, it just didn't get past the orange stage of the lightening process. The darker your hair, the more stages it has to go through. Therefor, the darker your hair the stronger the bleach has to be. Or you have to bleach your hair then tone it then wait and then apply the pink or purple or whatever. Not an easy process at all.





Also the color probably ran out because your hair was overprocessed from the bleaching. When hair is overprocessed and damaged, any color you put it on it will more than likely come out in a few washes, if not sooner. I would go to a stylist.How can I make my hair color more noticeable?

i only do this when im at raves or clubs or halloween
Just add some clip in hair extensions in whatever crazy color you like OR when you bleach it, get it ORANGE first, then wash that out and put more bleach on, and wait until it is lemony colored, and then put on your hair dye, if you still can't get it light enough then add some toner, but you could also call Sallies, they have a toll free number and they can recommend something for you.
