How do I get permanent hair color to spread evenly through my hair?

I've dyed my hair twice using permanent dye and I can never get it evenly spread through my hair. I always end up having some spot that don't get colored at all. Any suggestions?How do I get permanent hair color to spread evenly through my hair?

1ST COVER THE ROOTS. AND THEN JUST APPLY IN THE PIONTS OR WEREVER AND TAKE IT FROM THERE.........
use all the liqiuid in the bottle.. if you have long hair use two bottles... at times the mixture can bother your scalp.. i like to rub my hair around.. massaging the scalp for the first 15-20 min.. by doing this, you are making sure every strand is saturated.. plus it helps with irritation.. !! good luck 8]
First put a little conditioner on your ends it will keep them from soaking up to much color so your hair doesn't look 2 toned. Then I start at my roots and move on to my ends. Once you have all of the dye on there rub it in kind of like you are washing your hair. This is what I do and mine always turns out great.
have someone there to help you make sure you didnt miss anything or if that doesnt work try going to a salon. if you decide to do that and dont want to spend a lot of money try going to a beauty school that will work on the public
