How do you maintain brown hair color on naturally black hair?

I have naturally black hair and have tried too many times to get it brown. My last try was a success when i finally just stripped the color out. My roots have grown out about 3 inches already and I don't know what to do to maintain the brown. If i strip the color again, my roots won't match the rest of my hair. How do you maintain brown hair color on naturally black hair?
Go see a stylist. Stripping your hair is the worst thing you could do to your hair. This will probably be a corrective color, so make sure you consult with a colorist. How do you maintain brown hair color on naturally black hair?
Go see a hair-dresser. I assume your hair is already pretty damaged since you've attempted to go brown before. If you do not want to go to a stylist I suggest dying it back black - if you're not willing to see a hair-dresser every few weeks to keep your roots touched up than you'll either have multi-colored hair, or black hair.
I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too
