How long should I wait to tone down my hair color?

I just put in a red dye (the same color on my avatar) and it came out too light. How long should I wait to put another color on top of my hair? Also, I am a caramel complexion with green eyes...What color dye should I get to match my skin and bring out my eyes more?How long should I wait to tone down my hair color?
well i would wait for it to grow out just a bit and then maybe add some highlights in. it actually depends onv what your natural hair colour is but the highlights should be at the front.


blonde:


if you have layers i would add some superfine highlights in a biscuit tone through your upper layers of a sunkissed style.


dark brown:


same as blonde but with light brown highlights


Black:


same as the other two but with dark brown highlights or maybe red but get a better dye :PHow long should I wait to tone down my hair color?
you should wait 2 weeks for the best results. Any color with a violet base is best for green eyes and orange skin undertones
