I normally have golden blond hair and just wanted to brighten it up. The box said nothing about ash, but I ended up with washed out ashy/grey and slightly purple hair. I want to use a multi-tone product to take it back to golden blond with highlights. Should that do the trick or should I go somewhere to have it done? How to fix hair color that turned out ashy, gray and slightly purple?
Grey is a sign of maybe being close to over processed... get an ';ammonia free semi permanent'; color from walmart... any brand as long as it as I described... a golden blonde will add the warm back to your hair and neutralize the unwanted tones... depending on how over processed you hair is if it still has some of the ash/grey try again because with a semiperm. color it will take better each time you do it... I would get this problem corrected before I would do the hilites... when you do the hilites it may remove the semiperm. color you judt did and you end willl ash/grey streaks.
Why not try low-hiltes... after the above is completed... get the same brand only this time get a shade or 2 darker stay in the golden levels... pull hair thru a cap apply product... if it goes a little dark... semi's are notorious for fading about 25% over time... reallygave a little more answer than you asked for but I hope this helps:-))))How to fix hair color that turned out ashy, gray and slightly purple?
i would definately go to a salon and get someones opinion there. i dont think u want to have ur hair fall out from to much chemicals. lolthe highlights might work but even then i would have a professional do it.
