Is red a difficult hair color to maintain and why?

I am considering dying my hair either red or honey blonde. But I have been told that red fades very quickly and looses lustre and its very hard to maintain. I was wondering why and what can be done to keep it up as bright an vibrant as possible.Is red a difficult hair color to maintain and why?

Red is the hardest color to match when you dye your hair. When it starts to fade it's almost imposible to find the same color. Blonde is the most expensive color to dye. The lighter your get the more expensive, the more darker the cheaper.
because red doesnt stick to hair very well so it fades really fast. this meens that you need to re-do it every couple of weeks to keep it to the original colour you dyed it :)
