And not washing it every single day will also help. Wait 2 days before washing it, use a shampoo for color treated hair, condition well, avoid pools for 2 weeks, and get a touch up every month.
Use a spray that protects against the sun's UV rays, which cause color fading. I just bought Fekkai's Summer Hair sprays.
Use cool water instead of hot water to shower.
