What can my daughter do to fix a hair color disaster?

My daughter went today to get her hair colored. She picked a really nice brown color, but when it was done, it almost looks like black. She hates it. It cost her $65.00. Is there anyway to make it lighter without damaging her hair more? What can my daughter do to fix a hair color disaster?
It will lighten.

It always looks darker at first, plus it may be a shock if she was another color.

If she really hates it after a couple of days, go back to the stylist and have her/him correct it. Don't try it yourself. What can my daughter do to fix a hair color disaster?
She needs to go back where she had it done and let them know that she didnt pay for her her to be that dark. I mean I would in a sec when it comes to my hair...Especially i it's too dark she'll want a pro to lighten it up for her..
use blonde-color shampoo 2 bring out natural highlights and since its summer use lemon juice 2 lighten it
If you want without any damage then the only solution is to wait for about 2 weeks. It'll go lighter.

And black hair isnt that bad, tell her to put some bright colored accessories on it and it'll look really nice.

I had a friend in high school who did the same thing and for like 3 weeks she put real flower on her hair to take off the focus of her hair and on the flower. And by the end of that month, it was a fad .
You can try using an organic hair dye which can be found at Whole Foods or Trader Joes or any health food stores. They are really cheap, only about 10 dollars and work really well without doing any damage to your hair.
just give it a few days...it will lighten up! it always looks darker the first couple of days. if you're still not happy i would go back to the salon and just politely tell the stylist that the color is a little too dark..she might have something to tone it down a little. and if you're still desperate you can always try the trick of washing your hair with liquid dish soap..like Dawn or something...but this is extrememly drying! i would just be patient with it. it's better to have a color that will eventually fade than the color you want but hair that is fried and dull.
Call the salon manager or the stylist and ask to have the hair lightened a shade or two and then deep conditioned - at their expense. Aveda Damage Remedy is a good product and so are Joico products. The salon will have the best way to do it with the least amount of damage.
go to a hair professional and they will give you options to pick.
Go to a beauty supply place and speak with them, see if they can recommend a rinse, until her hair grows out, and make sure she doesn't go back to that place again, it seams that they didn't know what they were doing. If it was brown, then she should have had brown, and a good colorist would have told her, that it was going to be very dark , I would call the salon and tell them, you are very disappointed .And see if they can rectify it.
when you dye it it always turns out darker than you want it. try a light brown then it would be the brown in the middle of light and dark.
Without knowing their exact formulation and seeing her hair I am guessing that she is very porous. This should of been dealt with in salon. The salon should correct this for her at no charge. Depending on what type of product used, there are several options. Some are chemical and some are not. The last thing she needs is full color removal. Perhaps just a French shampoo, a reconditioning treatment and then glazed to the color she wants. All on the salon of course. Best of luck.
YES THIS HAPPENS SOME TIMES. IT HAPPEND TO ME AND MY MUM MARCHED ME BACK TO THE SHOP AND MADE THEM CHANGE IT FOR FREE! YOU HAVE TO BE SATISFIED AND IF YOU PAY THAT MUCH YOU SHOULD GET GOOD EXCHANGE. AT THE TIME I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH MY MUM AFTER I CHANGED MY WHOLE OUT LOOK ON EXCHANGE
