I am considering buying brown hair color and doing my own hair instead of going to the salon. However, I know that it splatters on the shower wall and bathroom wall and makes a brown stain. When this happened in the past, it was almost impossible to get off. Do you have any suggestions how to get hair color stains off walls? I'd love to not have to make the salon rich! What is the best way to get hair color stains off the shower wall and bathroom walls?
I've dyed my hair countless times, in countless colours, so I know what you're talking about. Make sure you clean up any spots while you're applying the dye. Sometimes having a friend help you dye your hair is a really good idea, especially if you tend to be messy. Your friend can put the dye in more carefully, and you can look out for messes. While you're waiting for the dye to set in, clean up any splatters you might have missed. It's really important to get rid of any stains as soon as they can, before they start to set.
I haven't really had any problems in the shower. While you're washing your hair, splash a bit of clean water on the sides of the tub and walls... if somehow you get a stain on there, I'd recommend just putting a bit of baking soda on a wet sponge and scrubbing the spot.

I hate it when that happens! Why don't you try to lay out some plastic around the sink, rinse it out there then throw the plastic away when you are done.
if you make a stain wipe it asap with rubbing alcohol. if it's an older stain usually bleach works
I think you need to be more careful on how to apply your color..Sounds as if your combing it through your hair, which isnt the best way to color..Anyway, a mild bleach water will get the stains off.
Bleach. It makes sense right. Bleach counters the dye because when you want to lighten your hair you bleach it. Usually when im bleaching and dyeing my hair and i get some dye on the walls i rub some of the bleach paste on the walls to get it off. Haha. i know that sounds weird but it works, its logical, think about it!!
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!!! I sware by it
you can get hair color stain remover and pure accetone from Sally's...that's your best bet
also better advice would be to rinse the color off the wall as soon as it gets there
red is the worst about such problems
i got red hair dye all over a hotel room sink and was terrified but if you rinse it soon enough it doesn't stain
just be careful not to splatter it,
tape news paper to the walls so that the dye can't get to the walls ?
ajax and a very stiff brush seem to work to get the stains from my sink, and counter, I have never tried doing it in the shower.
