What shampoo and conditioner will protect my red hair color from fading?

Salon prices are high. My salon recommends that I use Kerastase... but it's $30 for shampoo and $30 for conditioner. I normally use L'oreal Sulfate Free. Please be honest with me - I don't want to get expensive shampoos and conditioners, but I also don't want to have to do an all over color 4-5 times a year.What shampoo and conditioner will protect my red hair color from fading?
Well, reds are the hardest color on the planet to keep in your hair. It will fade anyways and you will have to re dye it more than 4-5 times a year if you want it to look good and not have inches of roots showing...A good brand is KMS Color Protect. It is a salon brand, but one of the lesser priced salon brands. Dont listen to that other chick either... There are shampoos and conditoners at stores that protect your hair from fading, there under five dollars. Just browse around the hair isle and you will find it.
