What hair color removers work best? How many hair washings does it take to get out hair dye?

First of all, you are thinking about doing a color correction, go to Sally Beauty, no cheap stores like Target. Second, hair dye never completely washes out, unless it is alcohol based. So assuming you didn't use that, then you have semi/demi permanent or permanent color in your hair, which can never completely wash out. Are you trying to lighten the color, such as, did you dye it black, or do you just need to tone it. Lots of possibilities, I just need to know what you used, and what you want your hair to look like.
