Hair Color Advice?

I dyed my hair a dark ash brown to minimize the red tones in my hair to keep it from looking brassy, and from going black. Its a very nice sophisticated color but i want a more natural looking highlighted color. what shades do i go with to get what i want to achieve? do I keep going up one color with cool tones with the medium ash brown? Or any natural tone color?Hair Color Advice?
Your thought is good on going with a medium ash brown, it would be VERY subtle. You could try a light ash brown as well, or go with a neutral light to medium brown color. The only thing is, you won't want to try this on your own because color will not lift out color. A colorist knows what products to use to get what you want. It sounds simple what you want, but it is not all that simple to do just for the fact that naturally you are going to have a red or brassy base to your color when the artificial pigment is lifted out. The chances of it going too light, or getting too brassy are too great. Let a professional do all the formulating and work on getting it right!Hair Color Advice?
i'd go with a lighter ash brown, if you already have red hair a blond will turn orange over time.
Go to Clairol.com. You can try different hair colors and highlighting on models or insert your own picture.
I am not sure exactly what colour your hair is. I have a very dark brown hair and to get it lighter I had to get blonde foils put in my hair or you could even try streaks. Don't use ash blonde on dark hair it looks like it is grey streaks. If you have blonde hair and want to go lighter you need to first put a wash out red in your hair then apply the darker colour. If you end up with a brassy or orange colour hair you will need a toner to balance it out. You can buy shampoos that tone it should be a blue or purple colour shampoo. Hope this helps.
i think your natural hair color is THE BEST. and it looks the healthiest.
