In need of some hair color advice!?

Okay, my roommate had her hair dyed professional about 2 months ago, dark brown on top with some purple peeking out from the underneath. Well, the purple faded fast so then she dyed it pink for awhile, that faded as well so then she tried to bleach just the underneath section. It turned orange. So then she used this reddish brown for the underneath (like Feria or something similar). She鈥檚 finally satisfied with this color.

She thought the dark brown on top washed her out too much, made her look pale so she wanted to lighten it up. She bought a light brown/dark blonde (Loreal Feria, as well) and put it over the brown. The color only took to her roots. So now she has blonde roots, dark brown hair and reddish brown underneath!

What should she do? She wants to get the brown all one color, preferably the blondish color. She doesn鈥檛 really want to spend the money at the salon again. In need of some hair color advice!?
id let it grow out to prevent damage to her hair.

or spend the money on a salon.

or dye it all one color

(i am a ginger and i dyed my hair all black now i am letting grow out, my mom and i love the effect it had on my hair, it gives me a fire effect which is unique. =])In need of some hair color advice!?
With that many colors going on already, I'd either let it grow out or pay a professional to take care of it. I've heard horror stories about trying to correct hair coloring problems. It would be one thing if she wanted to go everything with a darker color, but especially if she's trying to lighten it, I'd be concerned.
She should get hair color remover and remove all the pigment from her hair. The more color you put on ur hair the harder it is to get it back out and change the color. There is one rule we live by in the salon. Color doesn't lift color. Which means u can't use dye to lighten ur hair. Once your remove all the old pigment from the hair. U can repigment it. She should use a neutral brown (5n) and apply the color without developer directly to the hair. Let process 15 mins. Then apply a (6G) Golden Brown color mixed with devoloper on top of that. Let process 30 mins and rinse out. Condition and style. She can buy all the stuff at sallys beauty supply. They can even help her with any questions about it.
